Née à Montréal, Québec, et d’un esprit artiste. Praticienne corporelle depuis 1995 (Ostéopathie manuelle, Polarité-Craniosacral, Éducation somatique), Speranza Spir débute son parcours en corpoconscience par des formations en gymnastique sportive, le ballet classique et la danse folklorique.
Ses explorations et performances s’informent notamment des principes de l’éducation somatique, de l’esprit du haïku et de la pratique de la danse Butoh. Abordant le sens poétique et l’élément de la fragilité et des vulnérabilités vécues par le corps, une ouverture se crée à l’expérience du mouvement sous un angle inhabituel par la simple intention de bouger sans mouvement intentionnel et qui souligne le jeu de la conscience capable d’objectivation sur le corps – un jeu qui provoque un questionnement continuel du soi et qui exploite la ligne fine entre le performative et l’identité authentique.
Speranza Spir détient un DESS en Éducation somatique (2008) se spécialisant dans la méthode de la Gymnastique Holistique™. A Montrealer, somatic educator, poet and performer, Speranza Spir has trained as a gymnast,in folkloric dance and classical ballet.
As a somatic educator,she feels strongly about the intelligent body, the influence of posture and alignment enhancing cognition and how its relevance informs performance and authenticity, identity and emotional empowerment. Nature and the great outdoors are motivating factors for her explorations and performances as a means to encourage the body to foster and maintain connection and conversation with one’s surroundings through movement practices. Since 2001, she has pursued training in Butoh dance with select masters of this practice, a form of unconscious improvised movement lending to greater inner and outer awareness.Please consult the links below for more information!
